Mrs. Snow just wasn’t herself after Mr. Tegg passed away. She didn’t leave her room. She refused to eat. Then she refused to get out of her bed. A month rolled but she was so weak that she couldn’t even walk. Everyone knew what was gonna happen next. She stopped talking all together. Several people tried. A psych nurse came in, our counselor came, everyone that worked there tried to get her to eat to no avail. She had gotten really sick. I had never seen someone go down a dark path before but she was there. We had to send her to the hospital, she needed IV antibiotics and she probably needed a change in scenery too.
A few days later the hospital called, she was gone. The hospital wanted a contact to notify, but there wasn’t one. There was nobody to call. How alone she must have felt. To have no one to call when you pass brought tears to my eyes. We are all connected in this world, everything that we do, say, and put out into the world affects all of us. And we really need to be kind to one another and love one another. We need to think before we speak and talk less and do more. Hope you and your family have a wonderful day.
